Weddings
Marriage is a very special and long lasting life event. It is recognised as the union of two people, regardless of gender. It is a day you will want to remember forever and I can help you with that by working with you to provide a beautiful personalised ceremony.
A civil marriage ceremony usually takes 20-40 minutes depending how much content you want included. I provide Di’s Wedding Package which is full of ideas for readings, vows, rituals, and sample ceremonies.
The Marriage Act 1961 requires specific legal wording (The Monitum) during the ceremony to make your marriage legal and valid and the rest is up to you.
A Notice of Intent to Marry (NOIM) is required, and is valid for up to eighteen (18) months prior to the wedding date. The latest it can be submitted to the celebrant is at least one (1) month prior to the wedding date.
Music: It is not the celebrants responsibility to provide or play music at your ceremony. Always have a responsible person to be in control of, and play your music on the day.
I recommend having at least three (3) songs, acknowledging the name and author.
Processional (Bridal party and Bride walking down the aisle)
Signing (Signing of the register and certificates)
Recessional (Walking back down the aisle to your guests as newly weds)
Just a thought: If you are planning your ceremony for an outdoor venue, the weather can be unpredictable, so always have plan B as a back up in case of inclement weather, ie; extreme heat or nasty cold, wet, rainy stormy weather.
A non refundable booking deposit is required when you book my services so that I can hold the date for your special day and commence the paperwork.
Extra charges apply for travel outside an 80km return journey, onboard boats, accommodation if required and more than 30 minute late start due to late arrival of the bride/bridal party or groom/groomsmen.
I only perform one ceremony a day which means my full attention is given to you.
